A Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is the foundation of most electronic devices. It provides both the mechanical structure to support electronic components and the electrical pathways (called traces) to connect them together.
Typically fiberglass (FR4), giving the board rigidity and strength.
Some flexible PCBs use plastic (e.g., polyimide).
Thin layer of copper foil etched to create circuits.
Single-sided (one copper layer) or multi-layered (for complex circuits).
A green (or other color) coating that protects copper traces.
Prevents solder bridges and oxidation.
Printed text or symbols for labeling components and identifiers.
